Gender: Male

Age: 60+

Intro about me:

I retired in 2022 after a fulfilling career as a Consulting Program Manager in the telecommunications industry. Since 2023, I have taken on the role of LCEC chairperson at Grace Methodist Church in Sentul. Additionally, I serve as an ICM partner, co-facilitating retreats and providing spiritual companionship to the retreatants.

My dreams/goal/vision:

My wife and I have found great joy and fulfilment through our involvement in the Marriage and Family ministry. I envision us continuing to serve together with strength and energy for many more years. A key goal for us is to instil in our children the importance of community service as a couple, encouraging them to use their unique gifts in this effort. I hope to see our children and their spouses actively engaged in serving their community, particularly within the Marriage and Family ministry.

Things I love to do:

I like to jog and take part in 10 KM marathon.

One fun fact about me:

I've noticed that my first name, Lin-Yin, often gives a feminine impression, which leads many people to address me as "Ms." in emails. I prefer to be called by my last name, Mak. 😂

Mentoring-Coaching Focus:

Marriage & Family, Leadership Issues & Development, Personal Growth & Formation

I believe Mentoring-Coaching is important because:

The practices are important as they improve a person's overall well-being and enhance their ability to serve in the community. They cultivate a safe space for meaningful relationships and conversations, enabling individuals to share their unique experiences and insights. Additionally, these practices promote self-awareness and reflection, which are essential for personal transformation.
