Intro about me:
Hello, my name is Sharon. I completed my education from Standard 1 to Form 5 at ACS, Seremban. During my time in high school, I actively participated in extracurricular activities, sports, and volunteer work. These experiences helped me develop important skills such as teamwork, time management, and responsibility.
As I step into the working world, my very first job was in the travel industry as a Travel Consultant. Throughout my career in the travel industry, I had the opportunity to meet people from all walks of life, including various races, ethnicities, and genders. This exposure has given me a deep appreciation for the power of connection, exploration, and cultural exchange. My experience not only shaped my professional abilities but also enhanced my understanding of people's needs and desires, allowing me to foster meaningful relationships across the globe. After 14 years in the travel industry, I decided to transition to humanitarian work, and now, I am currently with an international NGO, such as World Vision. I am also passionate about social work and actively seek opportunities to volunteer. I’ve had the privilege of serving with organizations like Street Feeding, Crest Malaysia (supporting the COVID-19 Center for the B40 community), the Malaysian Association of Paediatric Palliative Care (MAPPAC), and the Dignity for Children Foundation.
As a social worker, I am dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and communities, with a focus on empowerment, support, and advocacy. My role allows me to blend my communication and problem-solving skills, ensuring that I make a positive difference in the lives of those who need it most.
My dreams/goal/vision:
To live a balanced life filled with purpose, lifelong learning, and meaningful connections with others and to use my talents(worship) and skills to serve others, inspire those around me, and leave a positive mark with those I have cross path with.
Things I love to do:
I also love to meet friends & I’m always up for trying new foods too.
One fun fact about me:
Adventure Lover: I love exploring new places, whether it's hiking up a mountain or discovering a hidden cafe in the city.
Mentoring-Coaching Focus:
Work & Marketplace, Church & Ministry, Conflict Resolution
I believe Mentoring-Coaching is important because:
Mentoring and coaching are not only tools for personal growth but also for spiritual transformation. These relationships foster discipleship, accountability, love, and service, all of which are central to the teachings of Jesus Christ. Through mentoring and coaching, believers can grow in their faith, become better equipped to serve others, and build up the body of Christ, glorifying God in the process.
