Intro about me:
I’m retired after 30 years in IT and Business Solutions integration. It was in the marketplace, that I discovered a penchant for developing talent and building productive IT teams. Although brought up in church culture from young, the gospel hit me much later in my teens in school and it started me on a journey of discovery. I am still learning new truths in my faith journey every day. Compelled to serve the Lord by His mercy and grace, my wife and I were in many different ministries over the years in church, as well as outside the church. We were also in the inaugural cohort for “The Journey” a Spiritual Formation program, when ICM first took off in 2008.
My dreams/goal/vision:
By God’s grace, I have had the privilege to speak truth into lives and this gives me the greatest joy. Especially, when the person experiences an “Ah huh!” moment and begins to see God more in everyday life. I believe God has given me the gift of an encourager, to point others, like a signpost to the ultimate truth, Jesus. As the saying goes, I am “one beggar telling another where to find bread” – the bread of Life.
Things I love to do:
I love the performing arts, be it music, dance etc. I also love to travel and experience different cultures. I am an EPL fan and I really enjoy watching complicated “who-dun-it” series, witty sit-coms and “clean” stand-up.
One fun fact about me:
I performed a contemporary dance routine on stage, at the age of 50, at a talent showcase for the dance studio. As you would expect, I was the oldest performer on the night. :)
Mentoring-Coaching Focus:
Work & Marketplace, Leadership Issues & Development, Church & Ministry, Personal Growth & Formation.
I believe Mentoring-Coaching is important because:
Ecclesiastics 4: 9-12 – Two are better than one… one can help the other up. Connecting with safe people you can trust, builds strong bonds where faith can grow and mature. Proverbs 27:17 – Iron sharpens iron. There is mutual accountability and refinement of faith in open and honest interaction.
