Intro about me:
A retired civil engineer. Now enjoying retirement with my wife, travelling to visit our 3 sons and holidays, and serving God in ministries. Worshipping at Emmanuel Methodist Church, PJ. Currently serving as Chairman of Social Concerns Committee and Alpha Coordinator. Previously served as Lay Leader, LCEC Chairman, Care Group Coordinator, Care Group Leader and Sunday School Teacher. Currently in a 3-person mentoring group. Previously was in a different 4-person and a 5-person mentoring group. Currently also served as Associate Conference Lay Leader at TRAC. Been studying God's Word through the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for more than 10 years. Currently serving as a Children's Leader in BSF teaching the Word to children from 10 to 12 years old. Had previously served 5 years each as Children's Leader and Adults' Discussion Leader at BSF.
My dreams/goal/vision:
To help nurture and mentor new leaders in the church and to walk alongside them in the leadership. To continue to study and teach God's Word, whenever opportunity arises. Also, to help run the Alpha Courses to bring more pre-believers into God's fold.
Things I love to do:
Studying and teaching God's Word at BSF. Serving God together in ministries with unity of spirit and mind to glorify God and to grow in faith together.
One fun fact about me:
Being an engineer, I'm a decent handyman at home and the church, when needed. Was leading our church's task force in undertaking and supervising the expansion and renovation work.
Mentoring-Coaching Focus:
Marriage & Family, Leadership Issues & Development, Church & Ministry.
I believe Mentoring-Coaching is important because:
It's biblical and good to share some experiences with others especially how not to get burnt out while serving God. One needs to focus on serving the Lord while constantly gets recharging from the Lord.
