Co-Sojourners Practicum & Supervision (CSPS) Program

The Co-Sojourners Practicum & Supervision (CSPS) is a 1-year program (2022) designed as an extension to the previous 2-year Co-Sojourners Internship (CSI) program (2019-2021)*. Participation of the CSPS is by invitation via co-discernment and the aim is to equip a pool of co-sojourners a.k.a. spiritual companions to be ministry partners with TRAC Institute for Christian Ministry (ICM). The ministry of spiritual companionship is a form of one-to-one relationship or small group relationships, organized around prayer and conversation directed toward a deepening intimacy with God and awareness of His presence in and around us. A spiritual companion therefore helps those with whom they journey to discern the presence, work and leading of the Spirit of God.

CSPS 2022 Spiritual Companions:

Christina Teoh
Christina Teoh
Christina enjoys meeting people. Accompanying others on their spiritual journey is a great joy to her as she has been incredibly enriched by that accompaniment in her own life. She also delights in organizing and running spiritual retreats for others so that they can find quiet, rest and solitude with God, as well as experience spiritual renewal. Christina is married with 3 adult children.
Chua Lay Har
Chua Lay Har
Lay Har is a contemplative at heart. She responded to God’s invitation on this journey and has increasingly integrated contemplation into her vocation. She now finds inspiration and passion in accompanying another on their personal journey of discovery and growing intimacy with the Loving Father.
Dr Gerviene Choo
Dr Gerviene Choo
Gerviene loves meaningful relationships and has often found profound joy in seeing glimpses of God's graces in them. This includes hospitality to strays, 6 of whom she and her husband are now parents of. She believes that the journey with God is not meant to be done alone. She strives to live as authentically and as "in the present" as possible. She loves good works of fiction and has a crippling dependence on coffee.
Jamie Tan
Jamie Tan
Jamie treasures the opportunity to be a spiritual friend and to be nurtured under the Co-Sojourners Internship (CSI) Program the last 2 years. She serves alongside likeminded friends in accompanying others in their spiritual journey. Jamie enjoys meeting people, cycling and nature. She is married to Steve Leong, has 2 wonderful adult sons and a faithful dog.
Lydia Pang
Lydia Pang
Lydia stumbled upon ICM in 2016 and has been on an interesting adventure since then. The programmes she joined were amazingly timely for her and anchored her back to God as she navigated through various transitions in her young adult life. Spiritual direction sessions have been life-giving spaces for her, where she gained much clarity in tracing the hands of God in her everyday life and struggles, and in the process also learnt much about herself – both the good and the bad. One of her recent discoveries is an interest in creating safe space for others.
Mak Lin Yin
Mak Lin Yin
God’s grace led Lin Yin from his struggles to an interest in spiritual formation, discernment, and subsequently spiritual companionship. His experience as a directee in the journey of spiritual companionship has helped him become aware of the profound importance of finding authentic presence with God and with people. The desire to be equipped to bless others on this journey of spiritual companionship was born out of his experience of being held in a safe space and of holy listening.
Mark Lee
Mark Lee
Mark loves God with all of his child-being. He is a desiring pupil of spiritual formation, and delights in writing as a focal practice. He works as a policymaker in government, and of late, has been seeking God for wisdom and grace to live as a modern monastic. Mark is passionate about journeying with others to experience God’s rest and still, small voice in a weary and distracted world. He is married with 2 young children, and blogs at: amagoh2911.blogspot.com
Wong Hui Min
Wong Hui Min
Hui Min’s spiritual journey has been revolutionized by contemplative spirituality and since being introduced to it, she has had a growing interest in ancient spiritual practices and listening to others’ life stories. Nothing excites her more than when she traces the fingerprints of God in her life and the lives of others. She works amongst children who are differently abled and their families.
Dr Wong Lai Yin
Dr Wong Lai Yin
A dental surgeon by profession, Lai Yin finds increasingly these past 10 years or more the value of stopping, resting, looking for, contemplating and discerning the voice and work of God in her own life. Very much encouraged on this journey, she would like to help others see the value of doing the same. She enjoys quiet mornings and looks forward to taking long nature walks.

*Co-Sojourners Internship (CSI) Program (2019-2021)

CSI was an initiative designed for the purpose of expanding the capacity of ICM resource. The training involved 20 participants who have the disposition of the heart to accompany others in spiritual conversations and interested to continue and deepen their journey in the contemplative tradition. This 2-year internship program which began in mid 2019 and ended mid 2021 integrated training, on-going cultivation of personal spiritual practices, as well as the commitment to spiritual direction, practicum and supervision. Graduates of this program will assist ICM in their endeavors to bring spiritual formation into the life of the church.

Our first cohort of CSI involved graduates of ICM programs (SFL or the Journey) by invitation.
